Imperial College is a world-leading institution especially in science, engineering, medicine and business. It has a large proportion of its students coming from outside the UK — roughly half or more, depending on the measure. The university offers very strong research output, excellent facilities, and high employability prospects. However, the costs are correspondingly high: tuition can be steep for international students, and living in London is expensive. Admission is demanding, especially in STEM fields, and international applicants often face stiff competition.
