London School of Economics (LSE)
LSE is a world-leading institution focused on social sciences, economics, politics, law and related areas. It hosts a very global student body—over 8,200 overseas students from 140+ countries, making up around 70% of its population—and has both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with wide reach and high reputation. International tuition is significantly higher than “home” fees, especially for master’s programmes. While LSE's overall global ranking is about #50, its subject-area rankings are much stronger (often top 10-20 globally) in social sciences. Admission is competitive, and while the cost is steep for non-UK students, the return in terms of prestige, networking, and subject matter depth is considered high.
