University of New South Wales
UNSW Sydney is a top-tier Australian university, well-ranked globally (QS #20; THE ~83) and part of the “Group of Eight” research universities. It has ~70,000 students in total, of which nearly 28,000 are international, making up around 40%. International tuition is expensive: standard undergraduate courses cost around AUD 57,000/year for a full-load in Engineering/Science etc, while medicine and specialised health-fields can cost significantly more per unit of credit. Diploma and foundation courses are somewhat cheaper, but still substantial. Students also need to account for living costs in Sydney, visas, health cover etc., which are high. Given its prestige, research strength, and global reputation, UNSW is a strong option — but costs and financial planning are important.
